Sat next to the fast food colossus that is Nandos is Hubbox, a St Ives born burger bar that is slowly making its mark on the Devon and Cornwall foodie scene. Hubbox has a delicious choice of burgers, ranging from the Big Kahuna, featuring two 4oz patties, pulled pork and Swiss cheese, to the Hub Club, a tasty chicken burger with bacon, guacamole and a hash brown. Throw on the side the dirtiest of fries or choose from other greats such as a cup of chilli or a mug of mac (and cheese).
If that doesn’t take your fancy, choose from hot dogs, fish burgers, BBQ brisket or if you’re a veggie or a vegan, there’s the Nacho Libre, a nacho fried bean patty topped with guacamole and salsa. Order conveniently from your sofa by checking out their menu on Deliveroo.

Surely every student in the city should know about Jakes by now, but if you haven’t, then here we are to enlighten you. Not only is this a one stop shop for drunken eats, but now with the help of Deliveroo, you no longer have to wait in a queue to get your favourite Jakes’ treats.
Choose from a massive selection of Jakes’ infamous melts, a 10 inch baguette covered in melted cheese, with such delights as the ‘Morning Glory’ (bacon, egg and sausage) and ‘New York’ (burger and chips). There’s also a unique burger menu, with food challenge type treats as the Fat Bastard, the Even Fatter Bastard and the Fattest Bastard Ever, all mouth watering combinations of burgers, bacon and cheese. There’s no hiding that Jakes is not good for you, we’re not going to deny that, but sometimes there’s nothing like tucking into a greasy burger and some cheesy chips to make your night in that little bit indulgent. Order with Deliveroo and get the greasy goods delivered to your front door.
